This 31-page book is packed with information of how to use the Internet to get the word out about what you have to offer.
Peggy Tibbetts explains what “spamming” is, why you shouldn't do it, and why it infuriates those who receive it. She tells you why contributing your writing for free publication can earn you exposure and eventually money. Learn how to spread the word about your books over the Internet whether you own a website or not. Learn why getting free reviews of your books is so important to selling your books and how it helps to spread the word.
Ms. Tibbetts even explains how to start your own email newsletter. Find out more about chat rooms, email groups, and message boards. I enjoyed reading the section on the etiquette of Email Query Netiquette, and t he comprehensive list of helpful websites and ezines.
How to Spread the Word-of-Mouse is well written, and Ms. Tibbetts uses easy to understand, clear writing throughout the useful book. So, whether you are a pro at self-promotion, or at websites, you'll love this book, because I'm sure there is something in there you will find interesting and useful.

Review by Shirley Byers Lalonde
Peggy Tibbetts has worked as an associate producer of educational videos for Upper Midwest Films, contributing editor for Children's Magic Window magazine and Children's Writing Resource editor at Inkspot.com. Currently she is a contributing editor for Writing World. Her monthly column, Advice from a Caterpillar and author interviews can be viewed at Writing-World.com.
"I've sat where you're sitting many more times than I've been a speaker, and often wondered how the heck that speaker was qualified to discuss the topic at hand," says Peggy Tibbetts. In this case you need not worry. If seeing her credentials doesn't convince you, then click onto her website and download this book. A ton of information packed into 31 pages.
This little book will inform you how to publicize your book on the net or as Peggy says, "spread the word of mouse." You'll learn exactly what SPAM is and why you should never do it. You'll learn why giving your writing away (judiciously) can actually earn you more money, how to hustle your books online with or without a website and how to get reviews for your book.
You won't learn how to publish an email newsletter, but you will learn why it could be a good move for you, especially if you write non-fiction, and you'll learn where to go to find out how to get that newsletter up and running.
Discussion lists, message boards and chat rooms are also discussed, and there's a fine section on Email Query Netiquette. Besides, there's tons of websites and an entire page of ezines. These alone are well worth the price of the book, which is, as you'll know if you've been paying attention, a moot point.

This book is a fantastic resource! I'm always looking for new ways to promote my work and the work of Divas of Romance ( www.divasofromance.com ). I found several new sites I hadn't known about before. I highly recommend this to any writer wanting to get word-of-mouth going on her book.

As a writer, my greatest concern is promoting my work to the public. What do I need to do to accomplish this daunting feat? In thirty-one pages, Peggy Tibbetts writes a succinct e-book, How to Spread the Word-of-Mouse . In less than an hour I was enlightened. I got a quick lesson regarding online marketing. I now know where to get an author interview, where to strut my writing stuff, and a few sites that do book reviews. Peggy provides web sites where I can promote my books and information about publishing my own online newsletter. I jotted down scores of notes with ideas that were catalyzed by this wonderful book. I'd spend at least $15 for this information and Peggy charges ZIPPO!

“The experience I gleaned from four years of promoting my book ‘Malignant Self Love - Narcissism Revisited' online could have been made considerably shorter and less arduous by this pearl of a book. Concise but comprehensive--it is a practical guide to promoting and marketing your books and e-books on the Web. A rarity--it is up to date and accurate. Very highly recommended.”
